Subject: Haiti Relief Update
The plans are now set for our Haiti Trauma Relief efforts!
IAHV will train a group of 50 Haitian young adults (ages 18-30) to form the
Nouvelle Vie Youth Corps. The Youth Corps will dedicate 2 years to serving
their country: to implement mass-scale mental health interventions (AoL
courses) and community-based sustainable solutions for food, water, sanitation,
and construction systems (Permaculture).
The Nouvelle Vie Youth Corps is born out of IAHV’s programs in Haiti,
pre-earthquake. Since October 2007, IAHV has impacted 350 Haitian youth in:
youth leadership, sustainable agriculture, and small business development.

How your satsangs can help:
FUNDRAISE OUTSIDE OF AOL COMMUNITY
We will NOT to fundraise from AoL family but from the general public. This is
perhaps one of the easiest times to reach outside our family, because everyone
wants to help Haiti.
Please appoint one person in your satsang to lead fundraising, and have them
email haiti@iahv.org with the subject heading: “Fundraising Rep” so they can
participate in international emails to update and get updates on what’s
happening.
We will have a fundraising call on Tuesday, January 26 at 9:30 p.m. EST. Please

SOCIAL NETWORKING
We’re looking to raise awareness and funds through social media – blogs,
Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc. If there are people in your satsang who are
big into this stuff, have them email haiti@iahv.org with the Subject: “Social
Networking Team.” We will have a blog (rather than a website) where the entire
world can participate in this exciting endeavor!
PARTNERSHIPS
We are looking for high-level connections into the major players in the UN, US
government, EU, and associated agencies (i.e. UNICEF, USAID, etc.) If there are
individuals in your community who have such contacts, please have email with
heading “Partnerships” to haiti@iahv.org.
